The Truth About Easy Money...

When it comes to making money (online or offline), one of the most common things you hear is that there is nothing called easy money. But the truth is far from it...

Easy money DOES exist.

There are numerous examples of people making big and small money easily in a short period of time. It isn't a myth - happens ALL the time.

However, there is a prerequisite to making easy money:

You have to be in the right place at the right time to make it - which doesn't happen often if you're just starting out.

And when it doesn't happen, you fail, things get difficult and you end up making money (or making no money) the hard way.

So the question is - should you focus on easy money?

Yes and no.

“Yes” because if you are willing to use easy money as a motivation to work hard on building an asset/business and create a strong foundation, the easy money will come to you in the future. And “No” because if you only focus on making easy money right away, you won't be able to focus on creating a real, long term business.

In conclusion, easy money exists - but only for those who are willing to work hard to get it.

I can tell you from personal experience that "easy money" DOES exist. A friend of mine isn't even a marketer, and he thinks so simple. He can just about work his laptop. He found a great method that we've both been cashing in on for the past 12 months. He came to me to write the software in exchange for use of the method. I wake up in the morning, push a button on the custom software I wrote, and last month I done £7,321.00 from this method alone. He does more than me, but he has less other things to manage so he's able to scale up a lot more than I am. And no, we can't outsource it, someone would steal the method lol.

A lot of my biggest earnings have been made from what some would call "easy money". But the "easy money" for me isn't usually long lived. That's why I continue with the other ventures.

Depends on what you mean by „easy money”.
Some think easy money come without you doing too much effort. Which is never true. Even if at some point you get there, there is a long path to this destination and a lot of effort as a prerequisite.

There's no doubt that easy money exists.

Back in the AOL days, people were always concocting methods to make quick cash.

Call it spamming, spimming, whatever, but that was the name of the game back then.

Not "Internet marketing", it was referred to as "methods".

I've fallen out of that loop these days, but that experience taught me that with all the technology and traffic changing hands, that there's always an exploitative method to create massive cashflow at any given time.

You just have to find them.

And no, people do not share what works.

    That's the first rule.

The term "easy money" is very misleading. It gives the impression that you don't need to do any work in order for the money to come. That's a myth.

I think what you're saying is that some methods of earning money are easy to implement than others. I would agree with this statement.

"Being in the right place at the right time" is not enough.

Thousands of prospectors were at Sutter's Mill in California in1848 at the start of the gold rush. They were at the right place at the right time. But most of them went home penniless.

You've got to have the right information, the right methods, and you have to implement them properly if you want to make money. You just can't "show up" and hope to have people hand you a fortune.

I agree that being well prepared is important, but then again it's not enough. You also have to be at the right place at the right time before you can take action and get results.

But for some, there was some very, very easy money. A whole bunch 'o gold in a short period of time. You have guys that made it there and extracted pounds of gold in a matter of a week, as with other Gold Rushes, with a simple river sluice and/or a gold pan.

You've got to have the right information, the right methods, and you have to implement them properly if you want to make money. You just can't "show up" and hope to have people hand you a fortune.
I cannot argue with the soundness of this advice, nor that this describes most situations, but while I would say that much of the low hanging fruit is gone now, I have no doubt some is still left - and being harvested, as I type.

I thought the OP provided a little refreshment from the 'Realists', a camp I am usually aligned with, trying to add doses of reality, as you are doing, as I see fit. But in this case, I read some truth in the OP's post ...

You either didn't read the whole thing or didn't get my point

Anyway, yes it takes hard to get easy money. If you work hard NOW to build an asset (for example a targeted email list), you will be able to make easy money in the FUTURE.

      Hope that clears it up.

    To all of you here.

Read the science of getting rich by Wallace D. Wattles.

Getting capital is done in a certain way only! 98% of people do not understand how the process of earning money is and it is very clear from reading this section of the warrior forum. If you understand how the certain way works then yes money is easy! Otherwise keep being unaware of it and struggle for the rest of you life to survive.

Easy Money does come when you have a plan, a vision, taking the right action and work hard to make it happen. It will come eventually.

As always, no hard work no gain of anything in this world. It's fair enough.

Money is never easy if you have to work hard to get it... When you put in work and set up a good foundation, even if the money becomes passive you still have to remember the hard work you did in the beginning.. Making "easy money" none-existing.

On a side note: Arbitrage is a different story...lol

The question is, are you STILL working hard to make money after you think you have built a real asset? A thriving business? A strong foundation? If your answer is yes, then you haven't built it yet.

Interesting thread... As someone who has procrastinated, bought shiny new things and not made a cent (online)... I do agree with what the OP says. And pretty much what else has been said in support thereof.

Being in the right place at the right time, necessitates being in the wrong place at the wrong time... So many times.

As a busking magician, I can turn up on a piece of concrete( a pitch), and crank out a show, with the hat being paid well. All for 30 minutes 'work'...

It has become easier. But is borne of 15 years getting to that place...and still, sometimes, it's the wrong place at the wrong time.

But again, it's in being consistent, that the 'easy money', comes.

The hard part (for me), is living a life outwith what I love doing. You know, the paying of bills, groceries, rent/mortgage... The admin of life itself.

As said, interesting thread. Easy money is available... If one works hard enough... ( nice quote as above).

    Gotta love this forum

What is easy money? Some people think easy money is having a job where they just exchange their time and effort for a wage. I think thats HARD money because what you're actually doing is making EASY money for your boss.

If a person is assuming easy money is the type of money that just falls out of the sky then by all means that only exists in the lottery...

In terms of online marketing... OF COURSE easy money exists.

We use systems to leverage our time and efforts... Websites are basically like having employees. You can record a presentation one time and put it on your website and advertise it online with PPC, Solo Ads, VIDEOS, Ect... and you're essentially doing presentations around the clock even while you're sleeping.

I believe that it is very easy to make money if your niche is related to internet marketing and you know a few smart marketing techniques and how to get traffic.

It’s harder to make money with other niches that are not immediately related to IM. Almost everyone cares about making money online, while other niches are complicated and not as demanded as IM.

Internet marketers easily accept JVs, they don't mind selling their competitors’ products if they make more money with commissions as affiliates, and they can easily find guest posts of good quality for their blogs. They have numerous advantages.

When I realized this truth I started easily selling articles about internet marketing.

Too bad I care more about my complicated business than about making easy money online. I guess I would be billionaire if I was an internet marketer who cared only about making money somehow.

I started working online with the main intention to promote my own products about my discoveries in an inexistent niche, which is a combination of three different niches, where I have numerous strong competitors.

Ask me if I ever made easy money from this business…

Now that I'm known and trusted everything is different, but in the beginning I was more than envy of all the free internet marketers.
