how many bookmarking sites do you use?

I am just wondering how many bookmarking sites everyone uses, I want to set up for social marker but there is a lot of bookmarking sites, how many do you use and witch are the best?

I did a few a long time ago, but I don't currently use any at all now. I found that it doesn't help all that much for an older and established site (compared with the traffic I get from other sources).

  Most of the time I use to bookmark with Digg, Technorati, Google BM, Twitter and StumbleUpon. I see links coming from Jumptags so, that too.

Easy way to find Backlinks

Matt,
I have hundreds of accounts and yes they do increase your backlinks and rankings. You can also generate traffic directly from the bookmarking sites. The main reason though is to increase that ranking and get indexed.

As you can see I posted in another thread.

Yes it does take a great deal of time.. I keep up with all mine and trust me I have many many accounts ..lol

This is what happens when you do true bookmarking

Notice a few things

1. The article was just added and approved today on AP
2. The article is above EZA
3. Notice the time "added 8 hours ago"

It was actually picked up within a few hours of being approved and being bookmarked.

See the attached screenshot to show a new article that I posted and was listed in Google within 9 minutes of bookmarking - The article was just posted and bookmarked yesterday and has over 200 views.

Bookmarking the proper way helps a great deal more than what most think but remember it is only 1 tool that you should use. You should also be doing many other things to build that ranking and get those backlinks.

  I just pick one list which has high PR like StumbleUpon, Digg, Technorati, And Twitter. Though it can never really help you a lot to boost up your online visibility but still I see some quality traffic coming from those sites.

  No there is no written guide but I typed that up while making the video, I used iWork (Mac computer) to create the video.. Although I am sure I can create it in text format if you really need it ..lol

I used to know what is the purpose of using soo many bookkmarking sites its a shame lol. I use like only 3 but not so active in them. The only bookmarks I use is firefox.

  Well I do have lots of accounts... Like in socialmarker.com,when i check the DoFollow, there will be about 20-30 social bookmarker (some of them just come and go), so i just make sure that I have accounts on all of them, just to save time for the next visit...My top choices are: Delicious, StumbleUpon, Digg, Twitter and Spurl...

If your doing it without any auto tools it does take a while. I only used like 5 tonight, on social marker I clicked on best and used them. Still though you have to log on to each one yourself even when using social marker also. You just don't have to type anything because you can drag it to the form fields.

I use Bookmarking Demon and am quite pleased with it. I have dozens of accounts at hundreds of scuttle, scuttle plus and pligg sites. All my sites get indexed right away and my anchored backlinks start building up. Automating this task is just one part of an overall linkbuilding plan. I don't bookmark to gain traffic, I bookmark to get anchored backlinks. "Social" people talk, they don't click on ads, so I don't value that traffic.
