On the sales page of most itnernet marketing products you see income screenshots..My questions is how do they go about doing that? Do they take a picture and hire a graphic designer? thanks

Lol, in alot of cases, they hire a graphic designer to create fake screen shots

Absolutely agree, some are so obvious that they have been created in photoshop.

The way I see it, if you can take a screenshot, you can do a live login to the account you are trying to prove.

Well you shouldn't need a graphic designer. It should just be a legitimate screenshot.

Unfortunately these can be faked easily. But why does anyone want a screenshot.Just because I earn 1k a day with that doesn't mean you will manage to do the same. It's up to you how much work you put in and therefore you decide how your earnings will look.

In Windows just hit Alt-PrintScreen, which puts the screen shot into your clip board. Paste that into your picture editing program and hide personal details (your customers as well as your own), which should be the only editing you EVER need to do to a 'proof of earnings'.

it's called ''marketing'' . it may be a false way to promote it but i think it's not illegal if they do not write ''this is our revenue'' and showing a fake picture. all they do is ''you want such an income? join us'' and they show that image ...

No - you're mistaken about this.

That would be deceptive and illegal in most (maybe all) countries.

Also, even if the picture were not fake, if it would carry the implication to a reasonable person that that might become his/her income, and/or if the various statutory wording/disclaimers required on the same page or site are missing (these vary from country to country), that would almost certainly be illegal in all Western countries.

That is why its useful to have a video recording showing your screens instead of screenshots.

It's even more useful just not to make earnings-claims. Even if they're implied rather than express.

Eventually, income claims and representations in all advertising, offline and online, will just be illegal everywhere. And the reason? The failure of the "business opportunity promotion industry" to regulate itself properly. Industries that don't regulate themselves properly end up eventually getting legislation imposed on them. There's no "big mystery" about it!

The naivety of people who imagine that just because something's true and factual, it's necessarily ok to state it as a sales representation scares me.

And when it isn't even true to start with, that's a whole different business, often rightly leading to criminal prosecution.

      .

This. Income/Earnings claims don't prove sh#t other than the fact that the person trying to sell you something likes to talk about money. Do you think an IRS auditor would accept a screen shot or video as proof of anything? Then why should you?

While there was a time when screenshots WERE actuallly being photoshopped, I think it's safe to say that this doesn't happens nowadays.
People care too much about their reputation to do something stupid like faking their results that are the actual PROOF buyers are looking for, before even considering buying the product or service.
I do agree with recording your results rather than taking a screenshot. It can avoid possible negative statements and/or questions on your thread.

My questions is how do they go about doing that?
There are screencapture add-ons for all the major browsers. I use Chrome and I can shoot the whole page, a selected section or a scrolling shot of the entire page. Then I can edit it.

Never, ever...EVER trust screenshots. Not even with screen capture software. It's way to easy to fake. You can make the changes and just switch between windows when you're making the video.

To take a screenshot you can:

    - use the print screen button on your computer.
    - use a plugin like fireshot (for firefox)

To manipulate the screenshot you can use:

    - a graphic designer
    - firebug plugin for firefox (modify in the code before you take screenshot)

I just put this together real quick to show you what I mean.

If you are on a windows computer just press "PrtSc" and then go into paint and press Ctrt + V.

Thats for a real screenshot. For fake ones, just don't.

Look at how ridiculous they look:

this is what I see when someone shows me a screenshot.

EIther way, this post sums it ALL up! If you buy because of screen shot earnings.
