Yes, but not a lot in the beginning.

It will all depend on the message sequence you start sending to your list as well as the upsell offer you present on your thank you page when someone signs up to your list

A bar of iron cost $5. Made into horseshoes, it's worth $12. Made into needles, it's worth $3500. Made into balance springs for watches, it's worth $300,000. Your value is determined by what you are able to make of yourself

yes get paid to build list, or to break even. Pay yourself to build your list.

Once you find out how GOOD list building is you will not look back.

it took our business from about $20 a day to over $400 a day. Yes! Even today I tried a few things, but nothing beats having leads, or a list. Its just magicical sending an email and waking up to sales in your inbox.

I'm new to this too - what does OTO mean?

One-time-offer. This is where after someone opts in to your list, they are directed ofer to a page offering a product at special one time price. Most will not buy, but some will, and it's the best way to make a little $$$ when starting to build your list.

I'd recommend going to the WSO section, finding a dozen or so free WSO's and opting into them just to see what I'm talking about and how it's done. Out of a dozen, I bet you at least half of them will have an OTO.

      Any more questions, do ask!

You might get some good out of this thread:

The first person who opts in might buy something. I don't understand why people think you need a certain amount to start promoting or generating income.

To be perfectly honest, I have had much more success in building your list without selling anything for a couple of months.

This will help build trust and credibility, so once it comes to dropping in your affiliate links/reviews, you'll have a much higher CTR.

I 100% agree with this, and is the reason I personally don't usually do OTO's. But, the question was how he can make $$$ at the beginning while building the list, not a couple months down the road.

I think it depends on the niche/market you're targeting. I'm currently building a list for a niche I'm involved in and I'm promoting products on my landing page. I'm adding between 50 and 100 people to the list daily and am making more money than it's costing me to drive traffic to the page.

It's much better to be patient and build a relationship with your list. Trying to sell your list from the beginning will make them lose trust in you, which will just lead to you wasting your time. Send them quality material and teach them that it is worth their time to read your emails and take your advice.

  • While list building you would need those one time offer and normally lower ticket affiliate product just to at least profit or break even the investment.

The best way to go about this is to not only do OTO campaigns but have banking clicks partners you meet in facebook groups etc.

This way instead of just buying 1000 and having those 1000 clicks once its exhausted, you have other partners that you redirect your leads after they optin from your squeezepage into your partners offers therefore accumulating the clicks or banking it.

Then once the promised clicks are achieved with your partners, lets say 200 each from 4 partners, you get 800 click coming to you for free from their list or campaigns.

Thus promoting your offer and OTO for a probability of higher return on investment.

Instead of 1000 clicks, you end up with 1800

This is just another way to build your list but make sure your partners have legit testimonials and reputation in the community or risk getting burned!

I think you should initially just focus on creating quality content, but if you're building a really targeted list, you don't have to have a big list to start building income. I had a very tiny list way back when (less than 100 subscribers) and started making residual income because I took time to build trust and offer good content...and chose to be very cautious on what I chose to promote to my subscribers.

    Yes you can.

You just need targeted traffic and a good sales funnel, then you can make good money in the beginning if you test it out and tweak until it becomes profitable.

Just make sure your subscribers learn something and are willing to take action, then they will buy the products you recommend them.

How do you know that it will take a really long time?

What is considered a 'really long time' to you?

Sure, you can build a list and market to them at the same time.

It depends on your goal. Why visitors are signing up. And what you promised to give them if they sign up for your list.

For example, let’s say you’re in the Internet Marketing niche. You can promise to show readers how to build high quality links for their websites. This can be giving them an instant access to your video tutorials.

Now they’ve signed-up and watching your videos.

Inside the videos, you can show them what tools you’re using and how you’re using them.

What if you referral them to buy these tools earning commissions in the process?

    That’s a perfect example.

If you want to build a list and sell to them at the same time, you can do it. You just need a plan…
