    The way some people treat animals, you can't blame them for wanting to eat the face off a human for cripes sakes. It's not good to not understand primate sociology if you are going to own one. They are not all that forgiving. If treated with human respect, however, they can be almost like having another human around.

    Same with dogs. If my dog tells me something -- I'm going to listen. I never ignore what my dog says to me. Sometimes it takes just as long for us to learn their communication nuance as it does for them to learn yours, but once you know each other a dog can be the most valuable partner you could ever ask for. I've had a few with some pretty outrageously good sense's of humor, too.

    Unfortunately, I'm allergic to dander, so the only way I can enjoy dogs is online. Cats, too. Love both equally.
