The Dow Jones Plunges! What about Internet Marketers?

The Dow Jones had an historic drop yesterday, just curious how does that affect an internet marketer living in the US?

Say someone who makes income affiliate marketing and selling online services to local business owners?

    Who cares? In the last 9 years, my index fund has tripled in value. And it will go back up quickly. It always does.

    The only way this plunge affects internet marketers is if they are selling a stock trading course.

    And if they are...this should trigger a massive marketing campaign.

    The only people this affects are the investors (the top 20% ) and a few brokers.

    But nobody has said to me "I was going to buy that vacuum cleaner...but my stock portfolio took a dive".

    And nobody is going to say "I was going to pay you $15 for your WSO...but I'm taking a beating in the stock market".

    It may slightly affect real estate sales, mortgage sales, and yacht sails (get it?)

    Although I'm not an American or an affiliate marketer the recent "crash" has had an effect on me.

    It inspired me to arc up my valuer spreadsheet and do some number crunching to find which stocks have been unduly hammered.

    I've managed to find 5 bargains so far (bought one of them this morning). The other 4 report their half yearly earnings later this month so I'm monitoring them until then.

    The current correction has been long overdue, and I've been accumulating cash waiting for just such an event like this to happen.

    The next 2008 like event isn't due until somewhere between 2022 and 2026. In the meantime there'll probably be another couple of corrections between then and now as the market reaches new highs.

    The current correction is merely an opportunity to acquire more stocks at cheaper prices, either topping up existing holdings or, as I did this morning, buying new ones.
