You sit at the computer, there's something wrong with everything you touch virtual wise and after several hours, you've accomplished zilch, nothing, nada

    Hi Kim,

I think the better question is "Do you have days when things goes right?"

Right now I'm going for my Masters in Disasters and failing forward as fast as I can.

What kind of chocolate are we having?

      Kim,

If only one day out of 365 is filled with misfortune - consider the possibilities brought by the other 364 days of good fortune.

I'll take those odds any day.

You are, after all, Queen Midas.

          Howdy

I start getting worried when I have those days where everything seems to go right. It just means disaster is right around the corner

We all have those days, some like me just seem to have a lot of them

If it only happens once in awhile, maybe it is time for a break. If it seems to happen a lot, maybe it is time to look a little deeper and try to find the source of the problem.

          Kevin

I used to be indecisive, Now I'm just not sure!

Today is one of those days for me. It's a beautiful day so I stopped working and went outside to enjoy the day. If it was a crummy day, I'd probably reach for the chocolate too.

"Obstacles are necessary for success because in selling, as in all careers of importance, victory comes only after many struggles and countless defeats. Yet each struggle, each defeat, sharpens your skills and strengths, your courage and your endurance, your ability and your confidence and thus each obstacle is a comrade-in-arms forcing you to become better... or quit. Each rebuff is an opportunity to move forward; turn away from them, avoid them, and you throw away your future."
      ~ Og Mandino ~

Obviously the man didn't have a computer or have to put up with Internet Explorer.

Step away from the machine... give yourself a richly deserved break and a yummy treat. My favorite is Rocky Road ice cream on warm days/nights; hot cocoa topped with whipped cream and spiked with Amaretto on cold days/nights. (Of course, my brain is pretty useless after just one shot of Amaretto, so I only go that route when I have no intention of returning to the computer.)

      Hic! :p

The worst is when you have one of those days, and a whiny toddler who won't go to sleep, to boot. Off to go for a drive in the hopes she'll fall asleep and I can salvage a few hours of work tonight.

I just had to reply to this post, as many of my days seem to be this way. I find that when I am feeling unproductive I need to walk away from the computer, drink a nice cup of hot tea and relax for a bit. While this might not make my day more productive when I step back to the computer, it certainly relaxes me enough to focus a little harder.
