Something strange going on with post formatting!

Hello, please help. I've tried numerous times now to post a message and use spacing and smileys etc. But I can't add a smiley to my post, it just won't let me and even though I add spaces, as soon as I post, they all disappear (including this one). I realise this is a very small issue but I tried to a big response to a post and it's very difficult to read with no spacing whatsoever! Have I pressed something I shouldn't have?? Thanks!

    It's not you.

    I've had the same thing happen 2-3 times now - it was that way yesterday for several hours, in fact.

    The first time I even asked Thomas at the help desk what the problem was and no one could figure it out so assumed it was at my end.

    But it wasn't. The good news is after a few hours (or the first time a few days) the formatting seems to work again.

    The only answer I could come up with is gremlins
