Blog Entries: 1 | We DId It! I got a Top Fundraiser certificate to frame and hang on the wall. Thanks to all the Warriors who helped and donated, I was able to get top individual fundraiser and also top team fundraisers. As far as the billboard- We Got That Too! due to the situation they realized that it wasn't fair for the small family teams to compete against those with corporate backing so this year and from onw on there will be two billboard awards. This also is something I think Warriors helped bring about. Thank you one and all! |

Jim, I am trying to find out where my wife has hidden my digital camera cause as soon as I do I will be posting a couple of pics of the awards received the other night. One thing that all the Warriors gave me besides the financial support was the look of pride my daughter had when they called me up 3 times in a row for Top individual fundraiser, Top Team fundrasiers and winner of one of the two billboard awards. Fundwise we are up to $404 or 4% of the current goal. More Warriors are helping every day! |

THAT is worth every damned cent to me, Kim. Congratulations. The KF might or might not realize this - but those awards are right where they deserve to be. You are one fine example of a Warrior.

I just donated $10. Wish I could donate more. I hope this helps. I know you don't know me, as I'm new to the forums, but if one of my kidneys were a suitable match...I would donate my extra, only need 1 anyways, right?

But this thread is about me helping covere the expenses of myself and anybody that does donate a kidney to me because while the medical costs of the donoar will be covered, their living expenses while they recover are not. So of course if someone is giving me the gift of a half way normal life again,I want to help them too if I can. But I got sidetracked. Thank you so very much for your donation. Kim | |

To find out if you or anybody else is a match you would have to contact my transplant coordinator who would make arrangements for you to have a blood sample drawn at a local lab and shipped to them. They would then mix the blood with mine to see if it got along with each other or not. If it did, that would be the first step in determining if someone was a match and capable of donating a kidney. |
