Looks like a $11.3billion bailout on the horizon ....
and maybe more later.

California isn't the only one - several states are considering asking for bailouts.

At the rate it's going by the middle of 2009 we'll be making bailout available to individuals....no, wait, that's wrong. We are the ones who PAY for the bailouts. Silly me.

I can remember when our Governator was elected to HELP bring the economy back into balance--to bring "change" and "hope" for California. he was also pushed into office by the Republicans.

Another thing on the CA horizon: The state Supreme Court may soon hand California a hard choice: release 55,000 inmates or pony up an additional $8 billion for prison medical care. I can't wait for the fall out on that one.

I just read it. It doesn't surprise me. the state didn't give the homeowner/renter assistance that they give every year...$345.50 because there wasn't enough money. You know what will be the first to go---social programs...Welfare, food stamps, MIA, and other poverty state funded programs, along with education.

Well if anyone can't afford health care, just commit a crime, go to prison and get free health care. Any idiot politicians see that millions of law abiding, hard working, tax paying Americans can't get health care, while murderers, rapists, molesters, burglars, etc get free health care? Don't have medical insurance? Go kill someone and get rewarded with free health care the rest of your life.

That is so true. In my neck of the woods, the mafia must be running the family courts...if you are a convicted drug addict or child molester, you get a better chance of getting your kids. I kid you not. It's very sick the way "the law" thinks. When I took some law classes years ago, I couldn't believe how they separate basic "morality" from what is legal. How can you make a "legal" society without any conscience of right and wrong? but that has been the way it is for many, many years.
