So I bought cookie dough to make cookies for ppl for Xmas. Well I can't stop thinking about the cookie dough and I want to eat it but its BAD BAD BAD. So high in calories, sugar, and far. Oh what do I do, what do I do

          Never have understood why people eat dough but you can give in and eat some without eating the whole darned thing, can't you?

          If you do the exercise first, you'll feel positively righteous about dough eating. Or you'll be so tired you'll lose your appetite

    enjoy the cookie dough.

    then, go to the Betty Crocker Cook Book and look up the recipe. Walk very briskly ( to burn off the cookie dough ) back to the store and buy the healthy ingredients in the Betty Crocker Cook Book, and make up some real cookie dough with out all the crap in it, then you won' t feel so guilty when you eat it.

    Make the cookies and then the minute they cool, wrap them up and secure with fancy ribbon so you won't be tempted.

    The thing is (and I am a fiend for anything sweet or chocolate) you get the same sensation from just a tad or a licked spoon - it doesn't make it taste any better to eat the whole batch.

    The thing is when I am in fiend mode I would gobble, sometimes without even really tasting it. If you just taste stuff you will get off on it without all the pain/gain/guilt (and you will never look like the dough boy's twin sister).

    Try to see if a small bite will help you get past your cravings.

    I used to have cravings like that, but after years of working on myself, I have become known as a person with MASTER WILL POWER.

    There are a few mind techniques you could use to eliminate your cravings such as self hypnosis, EFT, and other meditative techniques.

    Try those and let us know how it worked. I'm sure that none of us want you to... blow.

      I read books, buy cd's, or downloads from the internet. You can find a lot of information on how to perform various mind techniques on You Tube also.

    I don't think there is a one size fits all "mind control" thing.
    Try different things and reinforce what seems to work best for you.
    Self conrol seems to involve some sort of "mind switching" decision
    process. At least it does for me. The trick is to find the switch. After
    years of trying all kinds of different methods I "deceided" to quit
    smoking and I did. 19 months now. Do I have the magic answer, no.
    I wish I did but I'd have never found the switch if I hadn't made an
    effort to look for it.
