What is the best way to speed up a computer having Windows XP operating system and 512 MB RAM with 3Ghz processor speed.My computer just runs very slow.Any helps please.

    Yes you definitely need more RAM and to either reformat the harddrive with a fresh copy of windows or completely clean it up. Honestly, though, that sounds like a very old computer. You can get a better one for under $400 now a days.

      Yep, l agree, l have a PC with XP, and ungraded the RAM, think from 500M to 2 GIG.

      Very noticeable increase in speed, and if you defragg and run your antivirus software every day, it will stay fast!


      But word of warning, going to a cheap computer store in your area with the speks, will save you a bundle, but when you install it, make sure that you touch your hands on the casing first to prevent sparking to the RAM chips.

    The Best to speed up computer is to Upgrade your Hardware and software.
    In Hardware upgrade switch to a latest laptop or desktop.
    In software you have to upgrade to latest operating system.
    Always use a safe registry cleaner to maintain your PC's speed.
