Actors who can sing thread

There are a number of actors who play singers and actually do the real singing or lip-sync to something they sang in studio with auto-tuners, including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Kanye West (aka Mr. Auto-Tuner).

This was a hit for Noel Harrison (who starred in the TV show 'The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.) in 1968. He doesn't exactly sing, though:

Bing Crosby was actually an excellent actor. It could be argued that he acted at
least as well as he sang. So it's kind of a chicken and egg thing and certainly
open to a number of opinions.

For all the bad PR Liza Minnelli has gotten, she was a very good singer.

Hence the "or think they can" in the OP.

It was actually people posting both Captain Kirk and Spock attempting to sing in another thread that prompted me to start this one.

So let me ask a question of all the "Well, they're really singers" folks.

What about musical theater? So none of these people are actors? Do you really
think that anybody who can sing can get up on a stage and perform in front of
a packed house doing Les Mis?

I guess my point is, what's the big deal about actors who can sing? In reality,
there are a crap ton of them.

If the thread was meant as an "Actors who can't sing but yeah some can"
deal then it was lost on me. I took the question literally. Actors who can sing.

  Well, there are plenty.

Now, if you want to go the "actors you didn't know could sing but can" route,
then yes, some of these are pretty big surprises.

As for actors who think they can sing but can't, well, there's plenty of them
too as Shatner and Nimoy will tell you.

Sorry, I guess I missed the plot on this one.

  My bad.

  Thanks
