There are a number of actors who play singers and actually do the real singing or lip-sync to something they sang in studio with auto-tuners, including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Kanye West (aka Mr. Auto-Tuner).

This was a hit for Noel Harrison (who starred in the TV show 'The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.) in 1968. He doesn't exactly sing, though:

Bing Crosby was actually an excellent actor. It could be argued that he acted at
least as well as he sang. So it's kind of a chicken and egg thing and certainly

However, I believe he is considered a singer, for the most part.

  I guess my point is, what's the big deal about actors who can sing? In reality,

  If the thread was meant as an "Actors who can't sing but yeah some can"
  deal then it was lost on me. I took the question literally. Actors who can sing.
  
  Well, there are plenty.
  
  Now, if you want to go the "actors you didn't know could sing but can" route,
  then yes, some of these are pretty big surprises.
  
  As for actors who think they can sing but can't, well, there's plenty of them
  too as Shatner and Nimoy will tell you.

Kevin Spacy is no surprise to me. He made a major motion picture about singer Bobby Daren.

This is is actually one of two songs I have been told I can karaoke half way well.
The other one being What A Wonderful World , with me attempting my best Louie Armstrong voice.
