Is EVERYONE an "Expert" in this Section?

I love this new Offline Marketing section of the forum, but is it just me, or is almost everybody who posts in this section pushing their offline-related WSO or other product?

I'm not directing this at anyone specifically -- there just seems to be a lot of self-styled offline experts jockeying for position in every thread, to the point where they frequently outnumber the "customers."

I think that there are more "offline" wsos than any other sort available so it's only natural that the threads would attract lots of "experts" posting and giving out usually useful advice

I don't think it's so different in any other part
of this forum. It's a marketing forum, gunna
    have people marketing.

Yeah, it does seem that way. But then I go out to every other part of the forum and see the same thing. I think it is more noticeable here because we are a smaller group.

With the exception of the main and WSO sections, I'm surprised how small each other group is - considering how established they are...

  • I can understand how it could appear that way, but that doesn't mean that's what's going on, at least not with the majority.

I am in no way an expert on all things Offline, but I do have a free and a paid Offline WSO in my sig. I am in here trying to learn and absorb as much good content as possible and If I can offer a little bit of advice or help someone out, great.

There are so many different aspects to the offline niche from cold calling and methods to get clients, to SEO and social media, to different aspects of dealing with clients once you have them. Somebody may be an expert or have had great success with cold calling and getting clients so they have a WSO about that in their sig, but that sig appears in all the other offline threads where they learn about SEO or a specific service to provide.

How is that even a bad thing if people have an offline WSO in their sig in an offline forum where people are here to learn? The truth is you can learn a whole lot just reading through these threads, but if someone gives good advice on a topic you want to learn about, then why not check out the WSO link and get all you can from them if they know what they are talking about and can help you out?

For me, I have been glad to see some WSO's in peoples sigs because I found WSO's that I had missed before that were on topics I was interested in. If it wasn't for those WSO sigs I would not have ever known about them because I missed them a couple months ago.

They are going to be there, some won't like it, some will appreciate it.

Great Repsonse Chad, i guess i shouldnt have been so flippant. Just seems like these threads come up all the time... and honestly, the guys that are killing it, dont have time
to do WSO's unless they outsource them.

Guess i am going to have to put one together, record it all on Video, then send it off to the outsourcer for packaging up.

      Regards,

WSO does take time and is actually not worth the money that you earn compared to offline gigs. But it is great fun and a bit a break from the routine. Some variety.

As Chad mentioned, we all hang around here to see what new ideas people have and what we can learn. We sometimes share our experiences in comments, sometimes by starting a thread and sometimes by creating a WSO. We are by no means all experts in all areas of offline but I assume that most of those giving advice here have had some success with what they are commenting on
