Email tracking software?....

For those of you offliners who send unsolicited "video reviews" of business websites to potential clients, have you ever used pro email tracking software to see if your emails are even opened?

I've only sent out a few 4-5 minute Jing videos but have had no immediate responses as of yet. (and I thought they were pretty well done)

Now If they've watched the video, and my offer has not been compelling enough for them to take action, then I probably need to hone my presentation and I can live with that. I am always left to wonder, however, "Did they even watch it?" Did it meet it's fate at the wrong end of a delete button right there in the inbox? Did I waste my time here?

I know about the trick of sending a dead link and then making the actual video AFTER the owner contacts you, but in truth, I like doing the critiques.
What I don't like doing is wasting my time and I thought at least with the tracking software I'll know one way or the other ....maybe....

Any insights?
