FREE Unlimited Email Addresses From Google Without Creating New Gmail Accounts

I just learned this from Tina Malsom (I think that's how you spell her name) and figured you guys might be able to use this. Why would you want unlimited emails? I have no idea why YOU would, but I'm assuming you could use them since you clicked on this post.

I used it to open another Craigslist account because my main email address got banned after using it for like 3 years for some reason that I never figured out.

Now of course I know you can just create a bazillion Gmail, Ymail, etc accounts but this just makes it simpler I believe.

So here it is... WARNING it's not pretty so these may not necessarily be email addresses you want to just give out, but you could of course.

Anyway you need a Gmail account first. JUST ONE. Let's say your email address is WF@gmail.com. All you do is add the plus(+) symbol at the end of your gmail username (WF) and whatever characters you want to afterwards. All emails sent to your new email address will forward to your original email address. But it is recognized as a new email address wherever you submit it.

That's it. So WF+extra@gmail.com will go to WF@gmail.com The +extra can be whatever you want it to be as far as I know.

The few uses I could think of for clients:

Craigslist Emails
Twitter Emails
Facebook Emails
I guess anyplace you may want to sign up for multiple accounts but not create multiple email accounts.

DISCLAIMER I've only created a new Craigslist account with it, using an email address that I haven't been able to use on Craigslist for months. I'm ASSUMING Twitter, Facebook, etc will see it as a new email address just as Craigslist did.

If you can think of other useful purposes for this, let me know please

You can also add a . anywhere in the username part of the address.

    So,
    Yourwelcome@gmail.com
    Y.ourwelcome@gmail.com
    Your.welcome@gmail.com

Will all go to the same address.

    Your Welcome,
    @gmail.com ;-)

I use a catch all account to create unlimited emails so I can make one up whenever I need one. Also so I can spot the exact moment when people decided to sell my email to a list so I can bust you. If "you" ask me for an email address it will be yourname@mydomain.com or yourdomain@mydomain.com . The original intention was so I could list sales@, admin@, webmaster@, support@...etc without having to build all those mail accounts. They just all dump into my mailbox@ account and I just pick them all up from there.

Hostgator will not allow this feature (one reason why I never recommend them to anyone) but any normal proper host should. As an aside I have had my email sold almost instantly into a spam list (not useless emails - but real proper dangerous virus laden spam). One of the biggest names in this industry either has a massive security leak somewhere in his company or he sells all emails immediately. You would all be very surprised if I said his name. Aweber also has a massive security leak and has had for years (almost 100% of emails sent to an Aweber list almost immediately end up on a spammer's list) either that or many people using it sell emails immediately.

I also prefer to have all emails delivered to my local inbox (every 60 seconds) but this plus trick of yours is interesting and useful, thanks for posting but if anyone is wondering where all the spam is coming from...now you know. By the way, can you isolate and direct emails sent to your "+" accounts into folders using rules? Or do they just all arrive as if sent to the main mail account?

superrooster thanks for the . tip that makes it even simpler!!!

    Martin and maddmula you're welcome!

WSOHelp yeah I love the catchall feature on accounts that allow it. As far as the tracking unfortunately I don't think Google does it. As far as I could tell the email sent to my +extra email address just looked like it came to my normal email address.
What did you mean by "I also prefer to have all emails delivered to my local inbox (every 60 seconds)"?

I never use webmail logins to check email accounts. I couldn't possible as I have over 16 different servers with collecting mailbox accounts. I wonder how many people waste a major part of their IM time checking various webmail accounts to see if anything comes in. Eventually they will stop checking and leave IM all together as "too hard".

I simply couldn't be bothered logging in and checking all the time. I think it's one of the biggest wastes of time in IM. Instead I use a local email client (I have used Outlook Express since 1998 and have every email ever sent or received since 2004) to go and collect all my mail and deliver it to my machine. That way I can go about my business instead of wasting 80% of my time checking and refreshing numerous email accounts especially if no emails have come in.

The only time I want to hear about an email is when it's landed in my inbox (even then I only have the small icon in my tool tray as notification - never the sound) and I set the send and receive function to collect all emails from my many accounts (I have email coming in from over 16 different servers). I sit back, get on with my research or work and I never have to worry about sifting through a million new emails or forgetting to log into one for days (or never, such as Google and hotmail). I never check those, never use those and look oddly at people who do when there is such a simple and much better solution to all emailers).

One of the reasons I never recommend Host Gator to anyone is they have banned catch all accounts (lol). I just my own domain name, go into Cpanel, into the email section and set up a catch all forwarder after setting a default account that they will all dump into then I simply set a send and receive from that account to go and check when it checks all the others. If anyone would like to see me show how to set this up make a request and I'll open an instant GoToWebinar.

This is really the trick right here. Being able to create 1, 10, or 50 new email addresses on the fly without having to log into cpanel, or reconfigure my email client is really the best thing ever. I've found it's also useful for me to separate client stuff, and makes clients feel special.

I had use the my.name@gmail.com version of my myname@gmail.com last night on facebook. There are many legitimate uses for this. It just wouldn't accept myname@gmail.com but it would accept my.name@gmail.com

I can actually track who sold my email to anothers list by using the myname+businessID@gmail.com now.

Never heard of the + trick but I will remember that.

The gmail + trick works great - most of the time. However, I have found that many times when entering email addresses on forms, the email filters screen for bad symbols in the text and often consider the + sign an invalid character. As a result, it only works about 1/2 the time when filling out forms online - so keep that in mind.

Other than that using the + trick is a great way to filter your incoming email. I actually use Outlook to read my Gmail, and then use Outlook rules to filter the incoming + and that way incoming mail goes to the proper folder or whatever I want to do with it. You can setup similiar rules within Gmail itself.

    Nice!

Knew of this before thought but always a great reminder! What is great about this Google trick, is that you can create so to say unlimited accounts on the same websites without creating a new email for every account. Which opens a bunch of evil opportunities
