Guys & Gals.. this is a method that works period.. I do it and it works... Google places is a gold mine.. 90% of local business listings are unclaimed and that is a fact.. the business owner is either too damn busy or they don't have a clue how to claim and setup..

I will do a quick search for my city.. ie..toronto dentist, toronto plumber then check out the first 2 pages of GP and check out who has their page claimed and who hasn't..

Make a list of unclaimed businesses.. Start hitting the pavement and educating the owners on GP that they have not claimed it and they are losing out on traffic and leads.. Charge anywhere from $200 to $500 per pop for set up..

Done deal.. Seriously guys this is a no brainer and works.. Stop being lazy and go make some money!!

Whatever e-book you read about "forum marketing" lied to you. Stop spamming this forum, you still haven't provided value like you tried to claim you did here

Anything that you pay for it just depends on how you deal with it and how much time you spend on it .

(Yawn) Pretty much everyone on the Warrior Forum knows this. Its been covered a gazillion times in threads, and WSO's, aside from the fact that a most marketers here are pretty astute thinkers.

This isn't the peewee league, kid.

      Doran,

You missed his other spam link that I referenced, thankfully the WF deleted the post.

He is just trying to drive clicks to his signature link.

The other post was god awful (how to make $200 a day!) and instructed you on how to bald face lie to business owners to get them to pay you $100. It was pathetic. He should just be banned from the WF, but if you ban him, the next jackass will come right along.

Heya Ryan...yeah I saw it soon after he posted it.

He seems to be very "make a quick buck" oriented...blissfully unaware that the real money is in "solve customers problems".

The Business owner has never claimed there spot. If you own the business you claim it thru google and add your business info to it. I did this for a local business last summer Mobile Concepts If you want to see a site that was claimed.

So the idea is to get paid to fill out the information for the business owner. If you need more information look up http://www.warriorforum.com/members/rus-sells.html

Psst..! Hey Ryan. It's called bold faced lying. Not bald. There's no such thing as a *bald* face.

Okay...lol--now, your turn to correct me on any of my misspellings! :-)

      Well for the records
      From The American Heritage Dictionary:

      "bald-faced adj. Brash; undisguised; a bald-faced lie."

      From wikipedia
A barefaced (or bald-faced) lie is one that is obviously a lie to those hearing it. The phrase comes from 17th-century British usage referring to those without facial hair as being seen as particularly forthright and outwardly honest, and therefore more likely to get away with telling a significant lie. A variation that has been in use almost as long is bold-faced lie, referring to a lie told with a straight and confident face (hence "bold-faced"), usually with the corresponding tone of voice and emphatic body language of one confidently speaking the truth.

I would be concerned that after explaining the fact to the business owner that they have not claimed their listing they would then hire their Brothers high school kid to set it up for them. If you do a great sales job you will basically educate the owner on how important it is and then they would go and have it done by someone else. There response to you would be "thanks for the free education".

It definitely works. It's about having the correct approach. You can go willy-nilly without a plan if you want. Yeah, you will get some sales. However, if you plan accordingly, your time won't be spent twiddling your thumbs wondering why your numbers aren't as expected.

ACTION works. PLANNED ACTION works better.

Yes, the idea does work but not for the complainers who are too busy policing this forum. Turn your computer off for a week and go out and try this. You'll finally earn some money. Really!

I am new for the discussion, but i must say, this tact applicable at every where, in each business, just reach to right person, give them offer relative to their need. For example-

I my early days when i was relocated,i was looking for job, at unfortunately not hitting any vacancies, i started search sites related to SEO, I searched for "SEO City Name", seo agencies City Name and so many other phrases of "SEO City Name", and find company names, mail to their IDS and i really get 4-5 calls very good calls , and at last a very good Job.

So Google is really a gold mins, you can dig what you really want for you.

Thanks for such a nice discussion.
