OFFLINE MARKETING

Hi everyone, I have a local customer who wants me to build a site for him so that he can update the contents or change the product his is selling on his own. He would like to have his paypal button integrated into the web site. I just feel that this is impossible especially for a newbie who don't know anything about HTML or wordpress.

Any suggestion for me?

It isn't a perfect solution, but if you're using Wordpress as your foundation, give Adminimize a shot. It allows you to hide thing in the wp-admin panel, so you can at least prevent them from screwing anything up.

Why do you feel it is impossible? I have clients in the upper 60s and and 70s that maintain their websites and make changes. Of course, I offer training with every project, usually takes about 30 minutes and they can do 95% of everything they would want.

Wordpress is a CMS... it uses a WYSIWYG editor, there is no reason he shouldn't be able to learn how to do it. Just show him how.. or sell him monthly maintenance... OR.. give me his number and I'll give you a cut.

I agree.. shouldn't be a problem. In fact, I tell prospects that the website I'm going to get them will allow them to go in and update stuff and they wont' be my hostage like with the previous guy. Worst case, just record a couple jing vids for them. They are only going to do some really simple things anyway.

It's not impossible. It's just difficult the first time. You can do this, and you're going to need to learn how to do it if you want to continue in this business. Gut check time.

If they know how to use Word, they can use Wordpress.

And the Paypal button is an image like any other, which a link can be attached to. Dead easy.
