Phone sales?

Hi,
I was wondering if it is a good idea to sell stuff by phone. Lets say pans and other "as seen on tv stuff". The main thing I am thinking about is the percent of people that may be interested in this.
Like, if you call 1000 people, how many of them, most likely buys something?

      Also, calling consumers to sell, well anything gets a worse reception than calling businesses.

    Listen to what Bob an Claude said.

    You'd probably get a better result standing in the street so that you could at least show off your wares. Somebody would buy something from you....even if it was out of pity.

    Try a different plan my friend...(I think that is what Bob and Claude meant ;0)

    There are those "booths" or kiosks in malls that typically sell those "As seen on tv" crap items.

    If you're serious about it, inquire with a local mall on the prices to rent one of those.

    I know you are all against these as seen on tv crap, as I am too. But as we all know people are selling it every day, which means it does work and people do buy this crap. So why not to be one of those who sell and get some of the sales?

    As for the list who can sue me and get 15000 fine - that is not a problem as in my country we do not have such a strict rules about this.

    LMAO Ken. Maybe he splits time between there in somewhere else... but seriously why would you even want to call with products like that?

    1. B2C calling is a pain in the ass, and much more stressful than B2B.

    2. Late night infomercials exist for people that want to call in because they want to order that stuff..

    3. All of the above said... you could you several methods talked about on this forum to put together a decent direct mail piece...at basically no cost... with a targeted list, and probably make sales that way... if you do it right.
