Lead Localizer

Does anyone have experience of using "Lead Localizer" for finding companies without websites?

    I have the lead localizer leads tool and it WAS working fine until I tried to update the software lastnight. There is an error with the adobe air.

        Hmmm so a warrior is giving away free software to build a list. That's pretty standard and fair. Helping people bypass the optin for someone else's software is not cool.

            Ok, warriors help warriors, I buy that. We then use WF to build our lists to pound emails to them (my experience). So, how many are playing the charade of simply providing a junk email to get to the offer?

            I guess ignorance is bliss here...

            Charade: 2. a game in which some of the players try to guess a word or phrase from the actions of another player who may not speak

                Ok... here we go... I found this string in an effort to get some altenate perspectives on Lead Localizer...

                Someone then replies that they have a better deal (promoting their signature line), but I have to give my email address to get the "free software" which dove tails into a paid deal... a rabbit trail I'd much rather avoid as I simply wanted some opinions to the string topic at hand...

                I got yours and evidently you approve... guess I better setup some WF junk email address to simply get opinions... geez.

                BTW, I agree to what you said:

                  Here's the IMPORTANT FACT that you're glossing over...

                  It's Chad's software not yours.

                  It doesn't matter if you think people will bypass the optin or not. It doesn't matter if you think it is "right" or "fair" that he requires an optin for a "free" system. It also doesn't matter if you personally believe that it's wrong that his "free" option leads to a paid system. The fact is, it is HIS software and system, and he has the right to determine how it is and will be distributed. You don't have the right to decide to circumvent his distribution channel because you don't agree with it.

    I use Localizer, but lately have been getting odd messages saying it can't update. I'm wondering if the software is still supported. It provides all the usual information such as business name, address, city/state/zip, etc., plus it will give you emails and web addresses, and # of reviews. The number of email and web addresses you get depends on the business type. I will often, if I have the time, use the web address of those leads that do not have an email address and see if they have an email listed on their website, which a lot of the time they do.

    It's a convenient peice of software, but as I said earlier, I'm really wondering if it is still supported because of the updating issue.

    How many different fields do you have to narrow your searches?

    Absolutely right JB. Exchanging software for an email is Chad's prerogative and every warrior on the forum is smart enough to decide whether or not they want to take him up on his offer. You're not doing anyone any favors, mate. It was out of line and it would be best to remove that link and move on with life.
