Offline Service Business Card Example

Guys; I've had a few people ask me for these, so I thought I would just post this.

The card is a tri-fold card I use to book speaking gigs to feature my Local Profit Geyser service (which is an online marketing service.)

The other side is simply a real screen capture of my page one Google search results (of about a year ago).

Both sides are printed in color, and the cost is about 40 cents a card (If I remember correctly).

The card is designed to give a sales argument, even if I'm not there.
A little imagination, and you could adapt it to use to promote any online service.

The Google screen capture really grabs the person's attention. Because it's a real result. Enjoy. Claude

I'm handing them out to manufacturers that have dealer networks, and anyone else that might book a speaker. They have to be groups of business owners.

The card used to be used to help book appointments to sell my service, but I adapted it (changed the copy) to book appointments for speaking gigs.

The card doesn't get me business. The card helps remind the person of the benefits of hiring me.

You would not be able to hand someone this card to sell local online services. The copy would need to be changed (although the side with the Google search results would stay the same).

But the structure of the card gets it noticed.

    Wow thanks Claude
When I read the section about your business cards in your book "Selling Local Advertising", I thought I need to see how badly I'm missing opportunities with my business cards. Thanks for the education

You should add a picture to the book or even better pull the old Zig Ziglar move and offer a copy with a self addressed stamped envelope and use that to build a mailing list to sell to.

    Claude,

    Wow! That's awesome.

That's the first business card that I've seen in a long time that is more than a name, title, service & contact info. A lot more.

So it's obviously bigger than a regular business card. I assume it will fit in most wallets?

I remember Jay Levinson saying in Guerilla Marketing that your business card should be a mini billboard. You've taken it to the next level.

On mine, I used one side for basic contact info and on the other side I created an ad with a pain point headline, offer and cta. I used yellow background with red text to make it stand out as much as possible.

It is a tri-fold. Three times the height of a regular business card. Maybe a tad bigger. Sure, it fits in any wallet.

Yeah, I want my card to be a mini-sales letter. It isn't as classy as some cards I've seen (Like the cards seen in the movie American Psycho), but I think it has been a minor help in a few instances.

I also have a retail store card that has offers on it. I've tracked the number of people who brought the card into the store, and have figured out that it brings in $3 every time I hand out the card.

That's not a bad idea. Thanks.
