I have a realtor that also owns a cleaning company. He wants to send out emails to all the agents in the local MLS with a link to a video about his service. He can pull them from the MLS but needs a service that he can upload them to and send out the emails. This will not be an opted in list but it will be from a fellow realtor so will get opened.
Any service for this?

Sending out lists that aren't opt-in can be tricky - you have to be sure that the list is cleaned well.

    1) Set up your own SMTP Email server

    2) Pay a bit more, and have a company send out your campaigns for you via their hosted server. I've used PhpList in the past and had great results. https://www.phplist.com/hosted

The other option is for him to send it from his own PC - his provider said they would flag for spam if he sends all 2K at once. I told him maybe do 100 at a time over a few days?

You'd need to limit the amount of messages per hour - I know that Gmail allows 400/day per account, and that's a free service.

In reality, 2000 emails shouldn't be too much of an issue over the course of a few days. Most SMTP's can only handle 4-5K a day.

Keep in mind though, that in order to get the best results you should have someone who knows what they're doing to manage the campaign. Email marketing can be difficult; monitor, track, test. No sense in sending 2000 messages if they all get trapped in spam.

Spam on the receiving end shouldn't be an issue - he is a realtor and will be sending to realtors and somehow I think he is already in their inboxes.
I wouldn't call this a campaign really - he wants to dive them to a series of short youtube vids on his service.

Where is you friend from? I have a list of realtors with their email address, it was about 3000 in that list.
