Best Way To Setup Client Email???

Interested to find out how you setup clients email for their biz.

Do you create the email via the domain name(so if they decide to change hosting at a later date nothing changes)? or do you create an email with the hosting company?

EG: i register biz domain name with say Namecheap and create an email for them here.

Or buy domain name via Namecheap and once i setup hosting via Hostgator create the email here.

Thoughts appreciated

Well for me client's email is always with hosting company. Do not know if you can create email with Namecheap (domain registrar also) without buying their hosting... as most of the time i want to keep hosting different than registrar.

If client wants to go with Google Apps then it is with Google, and just one entry needs to be changed in case of changing Hosting company.

I used to use Google Apps for client emails, which worked great. Unfortunately they are no longer free.

Now I am looking into Zoho Mail which is free up to 3 users.

I was really disappointed when they took away the free option myself.

          Google Apps is an opportunity!

You get 20% recurring on the paid options and it's REALLY easy to sell. It's only $50 per user per year and you sell it on the benefits - universal accessibility, mobility, storage space and data security.

I have A LOT of accounts on GApps. Not as lucrative as supported hosting but so, so simple...

Create with hostgator and set it up with Windows Live or forward to their gmail/yahoo/whatever.

I think Zoho Mail is an excellent choice too.
