Critique my package!

I need some help! The following is my first line up of packages I will be offering to offline clients. I will be editing the packages to target different niches. I'm thinking I'll need to add more to the Gold Package.

If you guys can critique my packages, that would be helpful. I will be outsourcing all the online stuff and taking care of all the offline marketing such as flyers and coupons and such.

I'm not sure if I'll be charging too much or too little for each package. The price ranges is because of depending on client and their client/customer base.

    I don't understand... are you offering a once off fee and then continuing to work for them month after month, link building and SEO? I offer low upfront fees for the websites and then monthly hosting and seo packages depending on their needs.

      It would be monthly fees from the moment they sign with me. I won't be charging "set-up fees", just the montly fee from the start.

        If thats the case then you should reevaluate your prices. Its way too more than normal rates of other companies unless and until you are providing exceptional service plus you need to convince your clients why your rates are too high and how your service is gonna help them in long run.

          Okay. What would you say if I slashed the prices by about $500 on monthly fees?

          How much do you guys charge on average monthly? Or when you first started if you charge more now?

            That depends on several factors. If you are offering standard packages to all your clients then you should do a market analysis of all your competitors. Then you should come up with better packages with more features and should go down on price to get hold of the market. If you are providing custom seo packages then your quotation shopuld vary with the niche, site's age, keyword position, clients site's backlink history.. etc etc.. so its a hell lot of process you should keep track to build your successful business. Competition will be the most in this niche. Thats the most competing niche you are going after.

    The real question here isn't about your packages. It's "Can you find a market for these offers?" If you can, then great. If not, then you need to adjust.

    The best way to have gone about this is to have found the market BEFORE creating the offers. However, you are free to go out there and say "This is how I work," and qualify prospects In or Out.

      Well I'm looking to go into the restaurant niche first and branch out to other niches that need monthly/ seasonal marketing. I will be editing my packages as I figure out what businesses are looking for through conversations. It's all testing, right?

      What do you mean find the market before? How would I do that if I'm not out meeting with potential clients? (I feel like I should know all this...)

        Yes, you will have to have an idea before you meet with clients what services you want to offer, and how much you want to charge for them. However, the way you're doing it, you're putting the cart before the horse. Find out what business owners want or need, then tailor what you can do to those needs or wants.

        Your mindset right now is telling and not selling. In other words, you're trying to force onto them what you want to sell, instead of what they want or need. Big difference. Read my link above and all will be more clear to you.

        Your prices are too high and value too low in my opinion. Backlinks and pinging? Not a good thing to show added value. The SMM is a good idea though, I just don't think you're going to have that much success with the restaurant niche and those prices.

          Alright, what would you think if I cut the silver and gold package down by about $500?

          I'm reworking the packages and prices right now so that I could give each client a more custom overall package.

    Prices are not too high but not ideal pricing, cut off about 20% on monthly fees and for sure it would be an eye catching to your prospects, not only because of the price but for the services you are offering.

    Hi there,

    Where in your packages do you explain what the customer will gain? Where is your guarantee that they will garner more revenue from your actions and how do your packages attain that?

    Right now, those packages seems as though you'd like to be paid for your web development training.

    Where's the benefit to the customer?

    Your packages all assume the restaurant does not have a website... Why no interest in those that have a website?

    Bronze package... Why would I buy weekly pining? Why would I pay for keyword research and targeting?

    What's the difference between SEO and linkbuilding (I know you mean linkbuilding as a subsection of SEO but I'm betting many of the people you'll approach will ask this question)?

    The silver package? Why do I need redesign? What does bi-weekly pinking do for me? Why do I get only 3 keywords here when I got all keywords in the bronze package (i.e., what's the difference between the two)?

    The main question is: how do I get more revenue? Your packages don't really answer that. Even your website doesn't come across as a marketing tool, just a website.

    And, since you're dealing with restaurants, why not take into account the people who'll find them on mobile phones? It's a good chunk of the people who will find them online.

    Propose to them marketing systems... SMS, flyers (good if you know how to get results using them), SEO (good if there are enough searches online and presented as higher visibility online that translates into more customers).

    You don't seem to be taking into account your competitors. Offer something different (that you can prove gets clients in) or offer the same thing differently (everybody and their dog's mother-in-law is offering SEO (as in, we find great keywords and we get you on page one in Google).

    Be the one who does SEO (as in, you get more people to come into your establishment). Combining it with flyers is good... but you can combine with other methods...
