The POWER of Words
So....some weeks ago, a local cattle rancher comes up to me and, after our greetings (Tom loans me his Flat-Bed Trailer every year for the Float I build in the annual "Veterans Day Parade")(2nd place last year with 28 Veterans marching with us)....Tom tells me he has been having a BIG problem with ""Kids in their 4x4s ramming thru his gates to " "tear up his property"!
Aside: I asked Tom...why? and he told me , "probably because...'kids are Kids nowadays", as they've always been and....they see a Big piece of ground and...want to try out their units.
He further says that his "NO Trespassing" signs have NOT stopped them!
So.....I think for a few minutes and say, "Tom! Here's a sign you can try."
"DUE TO THE SHORTAGE OF AMMO
I WILL NO LONGER BE FIRING
WARNING SHOTS!"
And....a few weeks later.....Wow! The "bashing of gates" has come to an end!
Reminds me of when I was talking with Gary Halbert at one of his seminars. I was trying to sell 2 Biz-Ops that had to do with;
1) Sending Faxes to local business offices
and
2) Placing Biz Cards on "Video Rental Cases"
(BOTH turned out to be BIG TIME MONEY MAKERS for yours truly and those who bought my biz-ops)
This was waay baack when consumers were renting videos from Video Rental Stores and when "Faxes" first came out.
Gary's advice was to use the following words in my Ads (B4 Internet when I was running ads in Entrepreneur Mag and other Biz-Op mags);
"FREE RECORDED MESSAGE REVEALS".....(whatever the promo was)
WOW! Were THESE words a "Grabber"!
I won't go into detail on what I added to those KEYWORDS to get "prospects" to DROP what they were doing and.....pick up a phone and CALL MY NUMBER to listen to my "Free Recorded Message" responding to those KEY WORDS but, suffice to say....these words GRABBED potential customers "By Their Greed Glands".....and they responded in droves!
Also....recently, I found 3 auto care products for "Used Car Lots" that can:
1) Sell Used Cars for $500 MORE that the "Label Price"
and
2) Within 30 Days!
WOW! Excuse me BUT....when I walk onto a Used Car Lot (the OWNER is always there) and I say the above WORDS.....if he does NOT respond I instantly begin walking away!
However....many of these used car owners have....re-considered...as I'm walking away and they realize I'm NOT going to give them a "Sales Pitch" ..... just b4 I get into my car and drive away....they YELL OUT, "HEY! Lemme See whatcha got!"
So....once again, the "Power of Words"!
Another example of ..."the Power of Words"!
One of my LOOOOng Time advertisers (7yrs) is a 70 yr old woman who happens to own a "Gun Shop"....IN HER HOME! (This is OreGUN)(for you "legalists"...she's Legal)
She's bought many of my Ad Projects and.....here recently she told me that she'd like to be MORE competitive against the other GunShops in the area.
So....since this topic is about "The POWER of Words" ...here's what I did for her ADS in my local Ad Projects;
I kept her Ads as they were...saying Who she is and what she does AND.... across all her ads I wrote in BIG BLACK LETTERS....."WE HAVE AMMO!"
Her biz has EXPLODED! (Excuse the pun)
So....once again, I've PROVEN...."THE POWER OF WORDS" can help you!
This is just a short example of how I've used WORDS to provide ME with a "Very Nice Living"!
