I'm an in home computer tutor and virus removal specialist here in Honolulu Hawaii with a small staff.

I noticed more messages left after I made one change in my voice mail. I changed it from

This is Rick Kirkham. Your call is very important to me so please leave a message at the end of the tone

to

This is Rick Kirkham of In home computer help dot com Your call is very important to me. I'm probably with another computer client so please leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.


I used a slow strong voice when I did this. I also believe mentioning that I was with another computer client gave the idea to my prospect that I was busy, therefore successful, therefore the prospect wants me to help him/her as well.

    The only problem with " I'm probably with another client" is of course when the caller hears that message after reasonable work hours. Some years ago I knew a guy who had a kind of a summary of his day in his voice mail message, sort of like, "What a great day working with some pretty cool clients" so it could play at any hour.
