Your ads will still show up, but not as much as the competitor ads that have a higher bid. Your ads may show up on the second or third page instead of the first mostly.

Have used Yoast before and it's been around for a long time. It has a lot of great features and they keep it updated. I would recommend it. I'm not sure about the other plugin you mentioned.
