Try clearing your browsers cache and cookies as it suggests, if that doesn't work look into your plugins.
If it's not your browser one of your plugins (url shortner) may be causing this to endlessly...

Yes, you are correct the plugin is not compatible with your version of WordPress the home_url was added in the 3.0 version.

When the page loaded up it didn't hit me as anything special. Try to find a different layout that doesn't look so generic (I mean it's a nice looking layout just not something fit for a sales page)....
