Amazon's AWS isn't really hosting in the traditional sense.
I'd suggest avoiding it for something as simple as WordPress.
There are much better hosts out there for this.

It amounts to running an unmanaged vps with all the associated configuration issues. You would need to constantly be aware of the security issues that come up regularly. Endless patches and updates....
