How to automatically change the displayed Paypal button using the paypal email address?

Hi,

I'm a little stuck on something and cannot seem to find it anywhere on the web. Some people offer 100% commission to other IM's when they promote a certain product. All they give is their Paypal email address.

When someone goes to the sales page in question and is referred by the persons link, their Paypal button is displayed instead of the vendors.

Does anybody know how to do this? I need to be able to offer purchasers the option of promote the product themselves which will result in their Paypal button being shown.

I need to know how to do this with only their Paypal email address.

Does any of you know how to do this? Your help would be much appreciated.

    You can use PHP and openssl to create a button dynamically in a script.
    This is what people use to change the price of their sales when running those paypal dimesales. The openssl is used to encrypt the button so that people can not view the source and see the download link or paste the code and change the price.

    Instead of changing the price in the script you could change the payment email address.

    Affiliates could promote yourdomain.com/sales.php?e=their@email.com

    or if you worried that people might change the email to their own (thus getting the product for free) you could have a page which you show your previous customers. They enter their email here(which gets stored in a database) and then are given an id with which to promote the page,
    they then promote yourdomain.com/sales.php?id=5

    The script uses the id to query the database and then enters their email into the encrypted payment button.

    Thats one way of doing it but I'm sure there are others

    Thanks Elliott. That is exactly how I'd be doing it. As in i'd get the id from the url and then query the database and get the Paypal email address. If it exists the Paypal button would direct to the 'persons' Payment gateway.

    Then if the user doesn't buy a cookie will be stored for say 30 days.

    I'll take a look into openssl and the other things you mentioned!

    Andy I use 7DollarSecrets script to sell/promote my $7 reports. It's very easy to set up and when you buy the report you get access to the scripts which comes with installation instructions. I'm not sure about the cookies though with this script.

    Thanks Lesley. Just like to say I enjoyed the super long skype session today although it was probably my least productive day all year ;-) I'll have to get double the amount of work done tomorrow. Looking forward to working on some JV's with you!
