Redirect Post to Page in Wordpress good practice?

Is it good practice to have someone click on "read more" or the blog title and be redirected to a new internal page ... the reason is I don't want to have a side bar on the new page and also none of the text, just a big video.

Is it is okay for SEO? does it not make any difference at all?

    Asking a visitor to click for more info is an opportunity for them to leave.
    on the other hand if your content is compelling enough, they may be happy to follow

    Should be tested if possible

    To read more about this offer and a chance to win... click here
    If there are already disinterested in the info. the chance of them clicking is lowered, however if all the info is presented they are more likely to keep reading...
