Content Business Management System

To whom it may concern,

I currently run a small article production company and am looking at expanding in the near future. At present we turn over 1000+ high quality articles a month but would need to consider some form of php system to help with complete management when we grow bigger.

Ideally I would like some form of system that would work as a standalone website with multple options. It should have an attractive business front with the standard web pages. In addition it should serve to perform the following:
  • Clients can order articles (fill in details/titles/requirements of each article).
  • Pay for the articles (various gateways).
  • The article details are then placed in a pool to be either assigned or picked up by writers.
  • The articles are then submitted for proof reading/editing.
  • Once approved, the articles are then released to the client either by email or with a log in so that they can be downloaded.
It should have various levels for writers, editors and moderators. I have asked a few web design companies but would like a little bit of input from Warrior Forums if possible. If anyone has an idea of a company, script or program that could perform this job, please let me know.

Regards,
Antony.

My guess is you would need something custom coded. If I were you, I would head over to odesk and outsource it as they can probably do it for pretty cheap. -mg

    Drupal should do it.

You may need to buy some modules or have some custom-coded but overall, it would cost you a lot less than a fully customized solution.

      Hi,

Drupal seems like it might be on par with Basecamp or Freelancerkit.com. I will have a look into it at depth to see if they can help offer the solution. Thanks for the ideas, I will consider posting a project on odesk or freelancer.com. The trick is in finding trustworthy bidders!

      Regards,
      Antony.
