    bid is a variable used by that script

    It is like a tracker links. These are links that track how many clicks or something.

    You can see some of these links in social bookmarking sites:
    /social/out.php?title=links
    view.php?bid=40131

    This looks like an affiliate link:
    /store/click.php?l=aHR0cDovL2V6aW5lYXJ0aWNsZXMuY29tLz9NYW

    There might be some explanation why the webmaster use tracker links rather than using regular urls. It can be because they want to track how many users clicked the link.
