So, what platform does Warrior Forum made on?

Does anybody knows that?

vbulletin? IP board? phpBB?

And second question: I need to implement a project where it will be a membership WP blog AND massege board sharing the same membership database... Is this possible?

What massege board platform will be better for this project in your opinion?

Thanx in advance for your answer.

I can at least answer the first bit for you. Looks like an unbranded license but if you look in the source you can see its
    vBulletin 3.8.5

This is a VBulletin ... probably the most common platform for forums online. If you're looking to start an integrated WP forum and blog, vBulletin is great, but also expensive.

There are some really good free options available, including phpBB and Simple-Press. The WordPress forum in my sig uses simple press if you want an idea of what that looks like.

Other options include SMF (Simple Machines Forum), and phpBB, which in the latest version, is pretty good. Both are free. There are "bridges" available for WP and a few other systems.

We have a plugin that connects phpBB3 directly to the MWG membership managements system user database, which makes it an awesome platform for a paid membership forum.

    Hey Timur,

vBulletin offers a CMS (Content Management System) out of the box that is quite similar to the Wordpress application called vBulletin Suite. It seamlessly integrate with the forum setting and style, making it the best solution for content management.

Yup I agree. Its a vBulletin forum. Nowadays every hosting company is offering these forums, wordpress blogs with simple script installation. You just need to install a simple script and it would be there, you would not need to connect manually through FTP accounts to load files and everything. You can create your own forum in hardly 2 minutes.

vBulletin is actually commercial software, it's not free. This forum also has many mods.

Other forum software, such as phpBB, is free and meets your description of being installed through cPanel / Fantastico, but not vBulletin.

Reading the comments here it's obvious what platform this forum is built on however I was about to post the same as this might be VBulletin HOWEVER it's heavily modded - after this many years in play it's had many overhauls..

Now regarding what your attempting to do - choosing from FREE VS PAID it would highly depend on your purpose although I agree most FREE apps these days are strong and competitive VB is by far the best choice for a solid, unique foundation to not only start on but build a future on as well.. just my two cents if I were wanting to play hardball I would be using VB if I was attempting to test the waters I would use a FREE alternative.

          • There's no chance it's a stock VBulletin install - it simply couldn't handle this many users without serious modifications - the VBB database code is rife with performance issues when scaled up to Warrior Forum size. Works great for normal use though, probably the most features of any forum software.

From the source code I got to know that WF is made from vbulletin but it definitely looks very unique from any other forums on the internet. As a result I was interested to know the platform, I though it would other than vbulletin!

i bet that, WF is made on vbulletin(vbulletin 3.x), we can customize anything in vbulletin, i know because i am providing vbulletin professional services for many years, and one thing more vbulletin has two popular versions vbulletin 3.x and 4.x, both versions has entirely different user interface, and the coding used in styles of both versions are also different, if you need any information related to vbulletin, feel free to ask.

      Thanks

I'm glad so many people can respond to the same thread with the exact same information. After all, if he didn't get it the first 3 replies, he surely needed the other 4 to make sure that vBulletin is what was used.

You could also use Drupal for both Forum and Blog with a common user interface and probably other Open Source CMS as well.

    It's vBulletin 3.8.7
You can use vBulletion for your project, too. Yes I think that is possible to share the database.
