FIXED!!! PowerPoint file corruptions
Update: Found a fix online - had to do with a Windows update last week! So excited! All my files are restored. I just needed to uninstall a specific PP update (in the control panel). YAY!! 
I'm hoping this is correct place to post.
I'm having trouble w/ PowerPoint file corruptions. A client sent me a PP template last week to use and once I downloaded that, I have been having all kinds of problems. Now my PP presentations from a couple years ago are opening "corrupted." The verbage is left, but all graphics and beautifully crafted backgrounds are gone, gone gone. Here's what I've tried so far:
Finding in the TMP files > can't find any there.
Running disk defrag and system tools to open up space on hard drive.
Run 3 different anti-virus programs - SuperSpy, Avast and Malware. No probs there.
1. What if I did a system restore to a month ago?
2. FYI, I have windows XP OS and PP2003.
3. Have I lost all use of PowerPoint now? will it corrupt any presentation I try to make now?
Any help would be appreciated.
