Wordpress - making one category require registration, for users from a certain country

Hey guys. There`s something I`m trying to achieve with a Wordpress blog but I don`t know if it`s possible. I have several categories on the blog, but for people in my local country I want to make one of the categories off-limits unless they register (this is for privacy reasons). For users from other countries I want to leave the category open.

Is it possible to do this in Wordpress using geotargeting? I`ve looked for a plugin like that but haven`t been able to find anything.

Check Wp Membership plugin on WordPress.org. It might have the feature that you want. Else you will have to hire someone to write the code.

You could use geoIP wrapped code to do it, no problem.

Have a look at MaxMind - GeoIP PHP API for the GeoIP stuff, and Template Tags/wp list categories « WordPress Codex along with Function Reference/is user logged in « WordPress Codex for one possible approach.
