Messy Problem with Feedburner and Added Content
I've dragged my way through everything at feedburner/google with no results. Nothing in their help forum either. Not even sure it happened *at* feedburner.
So:
I set up a feed for:
Internet Marketing Help - Vancouver WA Local Marketing Expert at feedburner. Added feeds. Somehow I also added some extra text to the bottom of each post summary in the feed.
See here:
Local Marketing Expert - Vancouver
I thought I did it through some settings at feedburner to add a set of text to the bottom of each item. I don't think I did it in Wordpress. I've scoured every setting there too. Checked my theme functions file to see if I got creative. Just can't find it.
Anyway, the problem is that in viewing my feed, some of the text in that paragraph is goofing up the links. See the feed. It's possible that I made a typo or two getting it in, but for some reason, it just doesn't show correctly.
I'd like to either edit it or kill it, but I can't find how I got it in there so I can't do that.
If I should post to a different forum area, let me know.
Help!
[update]
I went to feedburner and attempted to validate the original feed. It has the text in it too. I pulled the original feed URL and see the text there. Now I'm REALLY not sure how I got it in there. I am not using any WP plugins to add to the RSS feed.
[update: solved!]
Stupid me. I checked all the plugins but didn't check all the SETTINGS.
The darn Yoast SEO plugin has an RSS settings page where you can add that extra text. I did make a couple of typos by combining HTML with the %%bloglink%% variable.
All fixed. Now I just have to resync the feed.
