Drip feeding Membership content

I am developing a membership site in an evergreen niche but I have a problem (well a few hundred really).

Content will be emailed to them on a weekly basis, and each week the content is relevant to tasks that need to be completed that week, e.g. 1st week in June, 2nd week in June etc.

Hopefully my subscribers will be subscribing throughout the year and what I don't want to happen is that when they sign up in June they receive the first content in the system, i.e 1st week in January.

Does anybody have any ideas about how I can manage this content supply apart from sitting by the computer and physically allocating the content to the subscriber?

I would be grateful if anybody can help. Thanks. Paul

If you're using wordpress for this, you could potentially have your posts scheduled to go live on the first day of your key weeks, then have the autoresponder simply link to your RSS feed. If you use something like Digital Access Pass (DAP) or WishlistMember, you can setup default protection for all of your posts so only members can access them.

    Hope that helps.

It sounds like you just need the functionality of a newsletter system, like aweber. You can just send newsletters out every week to whoever is on your system and everyone will get the same email that you send out. This is basic newsletter functionality.

If you want everyone to get the same series of emails that would be an autoresponder, something aweber can do as well.

    Paul,

DAP lets you implement what we call a "Magazine Model" (link) Basically, everyone gets content dripped on them based on the "date" they join, and not necessarily the "day" they join (DAP lets you do that too - but it's not relevant for what you're looking to do).

So if someone joins in July 2012, they get July 2012 content and onwards. If someone joins in August, they get only August content and onwards. Basically, you can drip content in DAP using a "date" (07-01-2012) and not just a "day" (day 14).

And you can set it up such that they get access to content created prior to their joining date, or not. Up to you.

Hope that gives you some ideas as to what you can do with DAP. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
