Remote email Issue

I have a client of mine, who we redesigned his website for. We designed the new wordpress based website, but his hosting at the time, was done through a friend and he didn't have access to the FTP so he decided to take my recommendation on hosting with hostmonster.

So, long story short, we've now installed this guys site, but the contact form just won't send emails to him. Since he runs a IT support service, he's setup his email differently, instead of mail.hiswebsite.com - it's actually remote.hiswebsite.com.

He says this is an easy fix, and my programmer should be able to figure it out but I've had 2 of my best web designers take a look and see if they could figure it out with no luck.

if I email him directly (from my email) he does receive it, so it's not an email issue for sure, it's a dns issue.

Is there anyone who is a pro at the programming side things that is confident they can help?

    There are several different ways that email can be sent from a form; which method are you using? I've found that the larger hosts tend to block outbound email that's not sent through their own recommended method. For example, whether they admit it or not, GoDaddy hosted sites can only use their own SMTP servers, which in turn have various deliverability concerns.

    There are few numbers of possibilities why the problem is happening.

    1.] Since that e-mailing him directly is working, then maybe the contact form is sending a mail to a different email address

    2.] The hosting might not have php mail installed or other script that your contact form is depending to.
