Recently launched a website on a micro niche and finding it difficult to find place to build back links. I am doing it manually as of now. search Google for my niche and looking for blogs and forums to put links at. Almost everything I am finding is nofollow links and that's if my links don't get removed.

How would you all recommend I build my link profile and how many of these links should I focus on for now? Thanks!

EDIT: I keep hearing about web2.0 sites. what exactly is a web2.0 site. I know this is a newbie questions so my apologies.

I have asked the question here 3 times. "Are Micro Niche Sites dead?"

90+% of the replies all said they are in fact not dead. I'm not looking to make a living off one site. Just 100-200$ a month. As I have already made one sale for 33$ in the 48 hours the site has been live I am pretty sure the concept of micro niche sites are NOT dead. But hey, I'm a newb what do I know.

And next time when voicing your opinion maybe give some constructive criticism to follow it up. Like maybe telling me what I can do to help the situation. Thanks.

EDIT: You've given me good advice before on a post I'm disappointed to see such a reply from you.

    Hey Daniel,

No matter what kind of site you would like to build backlinks for, I have always found it best to have just a few quality backlinks from a ( .gov ) or a ( .edu ) site.

Doing this, you should have no problems ranking and getting traffic, and this is done usually by writing a short article relevant to your site.

If you're not big on article writing, just outsource it.

Also, a Web 2.0 site is simply a site that is a bit more advanced than a regular static site when it comes to technology.

Just my two cents, but I sure hope this shines some light on your situation :-)
