how long do you usually take to go from $1 daily to $30 daily? Do you depend only on Article Marketing?

Where else do you backlink?

    I haven't yet hit $30 a day but I'm getting closer.

Depending on which site it is, I use article marketing, three way link exchanges, blog carnivals, writing relevant content that people link to on their own, being involved in the community of what ever niche it is, squidoo, etc.

It will take you exactly 45.3 days, 2 hours, and 15 seconds. And I backlink around the corner, by the 7/11 store, near the creek. You'll need a password for that.

Seriously, adsense earnings depend on a number of factors, backlinks are King for sure, but content is also a serious consideration.

Look at these threads and you will be both enlightened, intimidated, and enthrawled.

Also, if you want real help with your backlinks, here are 2 WSO's that make the grade in spades. They can make a decent niche site soar in SERP - which equals cash for most of us.

Because this forum is for helping others - just as you have probably learned from others on here. Stop plugging your website and try to help out...

If you want my advice Diver's, take one project at a time and focus on it until it is self-sustaining and earning your target amount.

    • Focus on building lots of links - don't just look for the easy "automatic 1 billion links" methods, actually go out there and contact related sites webmasters and submit to specialist directories.

    • Write at least 30 articles and submit them to Ezine articles. Point these to your website.

    • Take step two, rewrite the articles and submit to GoArticles.

    • Create a blog at Blogger, Google Pages, MSN Live Spaces and write 3-5 articles at each. Link your latest article (this is the one above the fold) to your website from each, another to one of your Ezine articles, another to one of your GoArticles.

    • Create a Squidoo page, and a HubPage. Two text modules, at least 3 images and resource links to your website and articles.

    • Join niche specific forums and break down your previous 30 articles into sizeable 100-200 word useful posts. Post them in a human manner (not all at once). Include a link to your site in your signature.

    • Go to Google Blog search - find related blogs. Comment. Link back to your site, articles and Squidoo/HubPage.

    • Check your Analytics tracking to monitor your efforts. Look for steady increases in traffic, keyword searches, organic traffic.

    • When your site is earning a steady amount - move on to the next project whilst still monitoring your existing portfolio.

That should keep you going for now

I have been working on steps one and two of this formula with success, but I have hesitated at this step because I am wondering how much value I would get out of the links unless the blogger blog is about the same or similar subject as the adsense blog that I am trying to promote.

Say I am monetizing a blog about dog training. Does the blog that I start at blogger to gain backlinks need to be about dog training, or can it be a general blog about pets or just a general blog about stuff?

Good luck Diver's! Let me know how you get on

Thanks for your kind words Noah, I'm glad you find it helpful. Follow those steps, making sure you are careful to record and monitor all your efforts.

I typically write down everything on paper, so I can work through it methodically and have a record of all my article URL's, blogs etc - makes it much easier to take a step back and work out what you need to improve on. Oh and if it comes to selling the website, you have a all the information right in front of you when people start asking where your traffic comes from!

writing on paper, a primitive method, yet it works best. always there to remind you.

And thanks again for the tips again.

Extremely useful reminder for myself and other adsense marketers!

How about contributing to a thread? Your post is redundant and an obvious attempt to increase your post count. God I hate knuckleheads.

Also be prepared to play around with the placement of adsense on your site to increase the click through. Keep them up above the fold, top right, often those 'ugly' blue links get more clicks than blended ones and experiment with the size of the ads. It really makes a bigh difference and you'll quickly see the results.
