I am updating my google disavow list and going thru the disavowed list I found some that I think I may have been too vigilant in including and am considering taking them off the list.

How can I know if they are hurting or helping?

For example, what do you guys think of this site? https://www.askives.com/

    nice question here. I'll write it down to write an article later. The answer is: no. The website you showed is quite ok, Why? 3kk pages, 500k of which are among main results (not supplemental). Just be sure you build links from pages that are not filtered and have (or may have) some traffic from the organic search.

    Basically, it means that disavowing is not about the donor sites. It's always about your link on particular page. You should assess the page and where your link is on that page. Do not disavow everything suspicious. It's quite expensive.

    And give Google time. Keep calm. Do not panic.
