Changing website design as well as expecting to save ranking, Is it possible?

Hello everyone,

Need your advice.
As i mentioned i want to change my website design. My website is now in good position in Google ranking. But i want to change the website design as it is bit old.
Now just wanted to know is it possible to save this present ranking with my changing design?

    A complete change in design has the potential to impact your rankings positively or negatively. I have experienced ranking boosts just by switching themes on my WordPress sites, though i doesn't always happen. I guess what you have to do is make sure the new design is SEO-friendly. That should be enough to ensure that your rankings remain intact after the redesign.

    In my experience, some sites get a drop in rankings when you switch the design code or use a new theme. If your offsite seo is strong and you keep your onpage the same, it should regain its rankings. With that said, I think the best bet is just to leave it alone if it is ranking well.
