Do iframes effect SEO

I currently have a website offering bricks and mortar services in my local area. As an addition I was looking at adding pages and content to offer my customers advice and product recommendations. I have became an amazon affiliate and embedded a couple of affiliate links relating to my content (iframes). I have been researching and have found that google doesnt like affiliate links and should be put as rel nofollow. Can anyone enlighten me as i am a novice. Many thanks

    Yes, you should put those as rel="nofollow" also remember NOT to cloak your Amazon links as it breaks Amazon's TOS. This means that if they catch you, you will not get paid and your account may be terminated.

    Iframes can also be considered "gateway" or misleading pages so be careful how you use them.

    Yes. content in iframes are not indexed so it will affect SEO. Basically google will see your website/page as empty if you use iframes.
    I think youtube embeds are safe as long as the video is the only think on the iframe.

      I was going to say, I use Youtube embed which did worry me a bit, I have still got the iframe for Youtube, you would think that Google would not of used Iframes, more so when they have little respect for Iframes, outdated coding if you like.

    Iframe will not hamper you.. But try to add most of your affiliate links with rel nofollow... It will help u definitely.

        Hi Bro,

        Rel dofollow pass link juice and rel nofollow does not pass any linke juice for targeting link. The choice is yours.. What do you want....... But in my opinion, for Adsense without changing code you can add re no follow... It is also a good decision for you.... It will help you definitely. If you have any problem with that, you can knock me any time.
