If you are sure about your website content, then i would suggest you to track all high bounce rate pages in you website. Then track their previous path pages to know about 'from where you are getting useless traffic to your page'.
Probably you have some links those are not relevant to your content/landing page. Use GA tool to track them and remove if possible.

The obvious way to bring it down is to get visitors hitting more than one page on your website. Try adding Previous/Next buttons or arrows to get people to move onto another article. Try adding some Related Posts below each of your posts. Make sure there is a good menu at the top..

Think about it..anything you can do in order to get people to at least jump from one page to another before leaving.

You're asking how to reduce your bounce rate?
Well, in other words, you're literally asking how to make your visitors stay on your website longer. And that's an easy question to answer, you need to write great content and, overall, offer them a reason to stay! However, it's actually easier said than done.

I don't pay that much attention to it, and it's quite likely that neither should you.

If you're running social media marketing or promoting articles your visitors are coming for that single piece of content no matter what you do. Links to related articles may help a bit.

    Make your site suck less.

By the way, a high bounce rate is not always a bad thing. It depends where they are bouncing to.

It can be something with the way your site is optimized. Secondly, useless links and topics that are not specifically related to your niche could lead to a higher bounce rate. Lastly, it can just be the quality of your posts. But I don't think that bounce rate should be something you should worry about.

You can have a great site and a high bounce rate because of bots and because of how visitors got to your site.

Take a look at webmaster tools / analytics to see who's sending you traffic, might be 'semalt.com' or some other such crap. Might be that Google is showing pages on your site for keywords that have little to do with the page... because the words on your page have more than 1 meaning and you didn't do a good enough job to clarify which meaning you're after...

Or, you're ranking up high in China or India not for US, like you thought.

Maybe. Or, most likely, you're not using enough related keywords.

I once looked at a website for an automobile mechanic shop. He's good, he's got great reputation. He loved his reputation.

So, most of his content on page 1 was about how he repsects warranties and what guarantees he gave.

I put his homepage in Google's keyword planner and it came up that the first 100 keywords most related to the content, per Google, were warranty and guaranty keywords.

Not one about repairing transmissions or rotating wheels, etc.

Take your pages, put them through Google's keyword planner and see what Google thinks are the top keywords by relevance.

If they're not all about whatever your home pages is, you need to change the content and/or the h1, h2, alt, etc.

If you tell about your website and then ask this question, then you will get proper answer of your question. There can be many reasons for high bounce rate like

"Nothing is interactive in your content"
" How traffic comes to you- what will be intention of your traffic"
"Do you have extra links for your website"

Is any popup you are using on any website? Hope after analysis, you can solve your issues.

    1. Interlink your posts (WIkipedia does a great job of this)

    2. Show related posts at the end of an article

    3. Post a "Read More: ARTICLE LINK" at the end of give your readers a call to action

    4. PLace Popular Posts with Thumbnails in the sidebar (Youtube does this well)

    5. Make your website load fast.

    6. Create a proper site navigation structure. Highlight your best pages in your Nav menu and create a comprehensive footer with links to all your important pages.

I know "viral" is a stupid marketing term and completely beyond redemption, but please. Just don't use it this way. Website is supposed to be the platform for your content, and "viral" tries to describe the rate and explosive nature of propagation.

You usually can't make websites "viral" unless you've got a very neat trick or gimmick to present, and you're among the first to use it. That's probably way harder than make some piece of content spread like wildfire.

This has very little to do with the bounce rate. Of course you should not give false information here, but Google isn't rating your page based on the meta description.

I'm not sure what you're even trying to accomplish on this forum. You're not making any sense, and these Yoda-esque lines of gibberish do not work in your favour. Is Escape Advertising really this incompetent?

Always try to create new trending topic with minimum 300 to 500 words along with related image. Put a catchy title. Seperate each paragraph using some bullets. These are some smarter way to reduce back bounce rate.

Those 2 are mutually exclusive I am afraid.

A bounce rate of 70% is high, perhaps, depending on the nice, incredibly high.

Most likely, your content isn't that good. Have you tried adding a video, or something similar? There's plenty of good research about how to reduce bounce rates, sometimes starting with a set of good images and a video is a good spot-

Or filter/block them from the Analytics. That way you're not risking blocking any useful crawlers, but the bounce rate looks prettier.
