      Yes you can definately start building backlinks now but do not instantly build 1000's of spam backlinks instead build 30-40 genuine backlinks daily.

        Month 1 - build 5 to 10 inbound links (ideally to your homepage)
        Month 2 - build 10 to 15 inbound links (mix it up between your homepage and internal pages)
        Month 3 - build 20 to 30 inbound links (mix it up between your homepage and internal pages)
        Month 4 - build 30 to 40 inbound links (focus on internal pages)
        Month 5 - build 40 plus links a month (focus on internal pages)
        Month 6 - build as many high quality links as possible (focus on internal pages)

          I really like this. Great way to help out the newbies. I myself learned.

          I have something similar to your method/calendar. It really works. Yes, getting those backlinks are not easy, lots of things in between. But with proper discipline and great mentor-ship everyone can be happy in this industry.

    Yes 2 weeks should be enough, if your site or page you want linked to is already indexed even better.


    But I recommend you focus on making really good content, and share with others using a minimalist perspective. Don't flood people with links, share a little here and there in areas where it is welcome, and other wise focus on having such good content that want to find it.


    I have pages that kick butt over sites with way better links. Its the quality of your content, engagement, that often will beat out links.
