how to build your backlink?

hello warriors, I've been doing my assignments and been reading few more articles about seo, some says, You should not Build your backlinks too fast. but i have read that, some are doing angela's and paul's packet all in one day. is this just okay? finishing angela's and paul's packet in one day? or is it okay if I build like 200 links a day?

    200 seems quite much.I would stay with 10-30 per day or it may seem like spamming to the search engines.

      If you are wanting to build a long term link strategy, you have to remember that the search engines know how sites grow naturally. In other words, take a huge site like Facebook. Facebook did not launch with 10 billion links on day one. If a site is new on Monday and on Tuesday it has a million backlinks, it's obviously not legit.

      I've had success doing it like this:

      1. set up a site and add a handful of links that will get the site indexed. For example, link to the site from delicious, then grab your delicious RSS and ping the RSS. You can get indexed very fast. Sometimes within minutes, even.

      2. add a few more links for about a month. Make it sporadic. add 3 one day, then 5 the next, then none for a day, and so on.

      3. after about a month, start ramping it up. Keep it sporadic, but add 10 a day, then 20, then 2, etc. The idea is to make it look like your site is growing naturally, which, incidentally, it should be with this strategy.

      4. After 4-6 months, you should be able to add hundreds in a day - maybe even thousands- without any negative effect.

        Build as much as you want, just spread it evenly!

        The myth of building link too fast is spreading around, there are no proof of that, trust me on this.

        I am not totally agree with you.

        Adding hundreds of links to a new site is ok, as long as all links from High PR sites, and you keep doing it everyday.

        If Google sees a spike of incoming links, it might just give you a dance! That's all!

        High PR links are powerful and they won't cause your site filtered, even you don't have trust rank yet! Just keep building it and you will see huge result very soon.

        I had a site gain PR4 within 4 months, I suspect there are sites gain PR4 faster, that's why I don't think getting a lot of links will harm you in anyway!

    I would worry a lot more about the quality of the links than the quantity and speed. If you get a zillion directory links overnight Google probably won't like that. If you're all over the news then Google will love you.

      backlinks is major factor for ranking in google so try to create as many backlinks as possible.there is no criteria to follow in link building.if you create many quality backlinks from relevant site then it doesn't matter if how quickly you are getting those links.

    I have been link building and doing SEO work to a site pretty consistently for the last 3+ months. I have danced around in google on 5 good keywords from page 1-13 and gained a page rank of 1. Yesterday I did 26 of Angela's list manually over the course of the day linking to 2 of the 5 keywords. This morning I have dropped off after page 20 for all 5 keywords. Is it normal to dance on all your keywords at once like that? Any advice or input? Thanks

    I think the key thing remember is that the backlinks that you build take time for search engines to pickup. On that basis I don't believe anybody should be too concerned about building a lot of backlinks very quickly provided that you pause between batches and do not do this consistently day in, day out. The other thing that I find is that some of my back links are are never indexed based on Yahoo site explorer. Wastage is therefore another aspect to bear in mind when considering your link building rate. 5 links a day, as is often referenced, is not enough in my opinion as you will be waiting a lifetime to rank for anything moderately competitive.

    The other thing to remember is that it's just not possible to build good quality backlinks that fast. For instance, it can take me an hour or so to find good backlink from a PAGE (not a site - there is a big difference) with a high PR (4 or above). A back link from a profile page or a new Wordpress.com blog is worth very little in comparison, based on my experiences anyway. With time and after much research you may eventually come across some specific footprints that enable you to find these a lot quicker. And no, I'm not telling!

    So, if you are building links very quickly remember that they are probably low quality and will not count that much in the eyes of Google. Don't get me wrong - there is a place for it. If all of your links are high quality your back linking campaign will look top heavy to Google. However, "proper" SEO cannot be entirely automated or outsourced and you need to invest time in finding the top quality backlinks which will make the difference between your hour of fame at the top of Google and consistent high ranking for months to come.

    Very few are prepared to invest the time and effort involved in "proper" SEO.

    So, I guess in answer to the original question is don't be too paranoid about the rate at which you build low quality backlinks. However, make sure you don't get sidetracked by the ultimate goal of finding the top quality pages to get links from. Once you find them, share them with NOBODY, and you can use them over and over again.

      Nope, not really

      The key to mass success using search marketing are:

      1. Cover your tracks
      2. Know Google like black hat marketer
      3. Do it as automated and outsource it as much as possible.

      SEO takes a lot of time, in general; That's why automation and outsource are 2 key elements here... I'm not in a debate here, just see what and how Jeff Johnson makes his money - Outsource and Automation!

    i build 6000 backlinks everyday.

    So i think there's no limitation to building backlinks.

    thanks for the info. Backlinks is something I have been working on for my site. It's still very new and likely not ranked but as I understand it takes time.

    so far i have done some article submissions and directory submissions. I am not sure how the social bookmarking works yet.

    Andy1750 makes a notable point - just because you post 5 backlinks on Monday, and 10 backlinks on tuesday, dosnt mean the search engine's see them instantaneously! They will only get recognized and 'credited' as a backlink to your site once the spiders have crawled it. I have found no problems in starting a new site, and attempiting to add 10 or so backlinks per day starting from day 1. Of course, many of the links (many within articles) are never recognized by the search engines for some reason, this is the frustrating part :|
