Hi,

I'm curious: I have 20 articles written for me.

And have choice of posting either to:

(A) 20 articles to 5 Article Directories

OR

(B) Post 20 articles on my sites Blog

Which option would ultimately reap better SEO and traffic benefits?

Really appreciate your expertise.

Thank you.

Write some quality article content related to your business and post it on leading article sites such as Ezine and Apsense. It will be help you to increase site traffic.

There is no automatic and easy answer to your question. It depends on the directories that you choose and it depends on your blogs. Specifically it depends on the traffic and authority of the directories and blogs.

Google will give more weight to a single link from an authority site rather than 20 links from low quality sites.

Article directories are often shit. But there are exceptions (Ezine for instance).

Do your blogs receive some traffic? Search engines generally consider negatively directories. I guess ( I hope) this is not the case of your blogs. But if your blogs have no traffic...

Carefully evaluate the quality and traffic of websites (directories and blogs) where you want to place your articles and this will give the answer to your question. There is no automatic response.

    Good luck!

I would put the best content on your site and the rest use for SEO purposes on article directories / web 2.0's etc. Generally you'll rank quicker with articles on directories (depending on your site & the directory of course).

Directories also good in case you want to experiment with link building on a site you don't own so it will matter a whole lot less if it doesn't work.

you can bang them on web 2.0's but dont expect that to help your ranking or get you any traffic. Unless you fire a shed load of links into these web2.0 or buy expired web 2.0's with PR juice it will not help you at all.

Absolutely ALWAYS add good content to you OWN site! Once it is definitely indexed, then add to one or 2 good AD's like ezine. Then share it on your Facebook, Pinterest, Tweet it, etc...
