Have you tried to create more articles around that keyword you are trying to rank? You should create or buy 5-10 unique and quality articles that are related to that keyword.

Then slowly start to create backlinks for keywords RELATED to that keyword, so Google gives you more juice on that zone.

Afterwards, try to do some quality backlinks directly to the main keyword.
